Privacy Policy

Love of Breath (Deidre Quinlan, sole proprietor, Terrace, British Columbia) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information I collect, why, and how I handle it, in keeping with British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

What I collect.

  • Contact details you give me — your name, email address, and phone number — through the contact form, booking, or email.
  • Anything you choose to share in a message or enquiry.
  • Booking information when you schedule a session (handled through Calendly).
  • Health and intake information you provide before a session — for example, the conditions and history you disclose on the intake form and waiver — so that we can practise safely. This is sensitive information, and I treat it with extra care.

I do not record sessions.

Why I collect it.

  • To respond to your enquiries.
  • To schedule, prepare for, and deliver your sessions safely.
  • To keep the records I’m required to keep as a practitioner (including the signed waiver) and to meet legal or insurance obligations.
  • To stay in touch with you about your sessions.

I collect personal information only with your consent and use it only for the purposes above.

How it’s stored and who can see it. Your information is held by me and by the services I use to run the practice: my website host and form provider (WordPress.com / Automattic), my booking tool (Calendly), and my email and personal records. I do not sell your information, and I do not share it with anyone else — except where I’m required to by law, or where it’s necessary to provide the service (for example, the booking tool processing your appointment). These providers store data on their own servers, which may be located outside Canada.

How long I keep it. I keep your information only as long as needed for your sessions and for any legal, professional, or insurance requirements, and then I delete it.

Your rights. You can ask me at any time to see the personal information I hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can withdraw your consent. To do any of these, just contact me below.

Security. I take reasonable steps to protect your information, and I keep health and intake records limited to what’s needed and accessible only to me.
